Merry Christmas to all and a Christmas Miracle

Merry Christmas from our house to yours. We hope you have had a great holiday season and wish you the best in the new year. It is hard to believe the school year is half over. I have accomplished my first half of the school year as an English teacher. The hardwood floors are done. We're all healthy and happy. Merry Merry Christmas.

Now for the silly stuff!! The "Spider House" in our neighborhood also decks the halls for Christmas. The Grinch is new this year. The girls sat in the car dying of embarrassment (Mom, we know these people!) while I got my picture taken with the old curmudgeon.
And last, but certainly not least, during our nice Christmas Eve dinner, Maddie found a Christmas Miracle in her potatoes. We think it is the Virgin Mary and we want to sell it on Ebay. Actually, she already ate it. We got such a kick out of this. The face was randomly made by parsley flakes. It has made believers of us!!
We enjoyed our gift giving and merriment this morning. We enjoyed out delicious breakfast. Now we are just lolling around the house, cleaning up, and trying on clothes. Have a great Christmas!

You're gonna build a shrine around that potato, right?

It has the glorious countenance of the Mother Mary, I am sure of it. Actually, I am not sure what to post since I just talked to you and we verbally covered this post and more. We made a new type of christmas cookie last night. They are called 'Buckeyes' and are made using peanut butter and powdered sugar mixed with a little vanilla and rolled into little balls that are dipped in melted chocolate. They are awesome and the girls keep requesting them. Hopefully Jenny will post pics.

Jen, got your X-mas message. Hope you and yours had a wunderbar holiday. Tell Rozzie that if she wants a geographic change, she can come visit us where Uggs are more than just a fashion statement, they actually work, too!! I have UGG slippers and brought them with me to everyone's houses over the holidays. My feet get cold easily. Roz can help shovel and use the snow blower. She can go outside and get the paper in the morning and start the cars 15 minutes before we want to go anywhere. And when I walk into work, the wind blows so hard off the lake that you have to walk backwards or the skin on your cheeks will get so chapped and raw that it will crack and bleed (this actually happened last week). The high was -4 with -45 to -55 windchills. Also, the heater fan just went out in the van, so she can come check out what it's like to be really cold. ( i hope I can get it fixed soon.) Oh yeah, tell her Steph and I are going to Cancun next week. Only for a few days, but it's for our 10th anniversary. We'll be celebrating our 10th during our 11th. Better late than never.

P.S. we like Minnesota.

Merry Christmas

I am intrigued by the "Mary" potato. It's too bad she ate it you could have made a lot of money charging an entrance fee to see it and then sell it on e-bay.
Thanks for calling.

The potato looks more like the grinch. He's sneaking around your house since you snuck a picture with him. We envy the warmth you've been enjoying and are doubly jealous of Jake & Steph's impending trip to Cancun. The most I can get out of Mike is to take us to the indoor water parks down the street. He gets to go to Orlando in April and managed to make me agree that it would be a bad idea to go with him.
