Jake and Steph, here is the promised photo. It was taken in 1981 in Huntington, West Virginia. Travis was on his mission. Travis heard he was coming to town to certify kids at a karate studio. Travis gave him a Book of Mormon. Chuck was nice enough to pose for a picture. He did not defeat anyone.

I think it would be wise for you to understand that Chuck ALWAYS defeats someone. It might be subtle, but defeat is in the air. Awesome photo. Keep it safe. It's almost like a membership card, or even a get out of jail free card. "Don't defeat me! I've posed with Chuck Norris!" You may pass. That's how it would work.
I agree with Jake. The fact that Travis wasnt immediately killed with a roundhouse kick to the face means that Chuck made the conscious decision to let him live. That bodes well for Travis now and in the future.
Wow. I'm so sorry that I haven't shared this picture sooner. I've had it sitting here for years. I made him an album for his 40th birthday. People commented and said, "wow, that guy looks like Chuck Norris." I like your reactions better.
This photo is so awesome! It made my day. I guess that's more Clint Eastwood than Chuck Norris. Can Travis confirm if it's true that Chuck Norris can eat just one Lay's potato chip? (from Steph)
OHHH I just love coming here and reading your posts Jenni. The "Wow, that guy looks like Chuck Norris" commentary made me laugh so hard!! I am such a smart aleck, I would have said " OH no ya think... really? c'mon you don't think there is some kind of resemblance?"....

There's one more thing that hasn't been discussed. The "Photo-Bomb" dude in the back ground. Are we sure that he's still OK? My guess is that he was in the process of being defeated whilst Travis unwittingly transferred his own defeat to him. I would never photo-bomb Chuck Norris. I am astonished the picture still even exists.
I am pretty sure that after this picture was taken (Chuck knew the man in the back was photo-bombing), Chuck did some crazy move and kicked him in the face and the photo-bomber was defeated.
Steph - I can confirm it. After giving the photo-bomber a round-house to the temple, he turned to the hors d'oeuvres table and devoured only one Lay's potato chip. He then turned to the crowd, and said, "One Lay's potato chip is enough for me." He then went on to defeat many of his opponents in the room. Soundly...
Thanks. I'm putting that picture on my bulletin board at work. Now, when people ask, I'll be able to tell the story accurately.
